Wyclef Jean is jumping on the Christmas train this year by putting his unique spin on one of the most beloved holiday songs of all time. Following in the footsteps of Nat King Cole, Mel Tormé, Christina Aguilera, Michael Bublé, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, among many others, Jean popped into the Spotify New York studios recently to serve up his version of the 1945 classic "The Christmas Song."

The version opens in a traditional manner, with Jean singing the song's sentimental story about Jack Frost and folks dressed up as Eskimos in his signature style over a gentle piano, before it breaks left about a minute in and adds some funky, swaying island-vibe keyboard and guitar, giving the 74-year-old classic a fresh-up for 2019.
