Actor Aaron Paul just can't seem to escape two his biggest fans: Drake and Rihanna.
During his visit to the Tonight Show on Friday (March 16), Paul, who gained notoriety by playing Jesse Pinkman on AMC's hit show Breaking Bad, hilariously recalled how the two superstars geeked out when first meeting him.
First up was Drake. “We randomly met in Paris in a parking garage,” Paul remembered. “I got out my car … and he was with a bunch people getting ready to get in a van. I'm like, 'Oh my God, there's Drake.' Then he just looks at me, runs over and gives me the biggest hug, and told me that he loved me.”
During their encounter, Drake told Paul how he had turned Rihanna on to Breaking Bad. Shortly after, the actor had a separate random encounter with the singer.
“I was at some event and an SUV was driving by me, and it stops and the back door opens, and it's Rihanna,” Paul recalled. “She jumps out … and literally starts running towards me. She threw her arms around me and said, 'I had to meet you, I needed pro this. Then paparazzi took some pictures us.”
Rihanna later tweeted a photo her and Paul, with the caption, “My life has been completed!!! #Pinkman4President”
But it didn't stop there. Paul had a second experience with Rihanna during a Super Bowl party where she was performing.
“She walks to the end the catwalk. I was on the second level this small little venue. Then she starts singing 'Stay' directly to me,” he said. “She does not lose eye contact with me. My wife is standing right next to me. She's like, 'She's singing to you.' And I'm like, “I know!' Maybe she was looking in my general direction, but the story I tell is that she sang to me.”
Paul's appearance on the Tonight Show was to promote his new Hulu original series The Path.
