Someone played a pillow.

With everyone quarantined during the coronavirus pandemic, Jimmy Fallon did a special “at home” edition of his classroom instruments bit on Thursday night’s (April 9) Tonight Show, inviting Sting to join house(bound) band The Roots for a version of The Police’s “Don’t Stand So Close to Me.”

Sting took the center square with an acoustic guitar and shaker, strumming along as members of the Roots played everything from the pillow (Ian Hendrickson-Smith) to Connect Four (Kamal Gray) and forks/scissors (Questlove).

There were hair picks, sneakers, wooden spoons and pot lids and jar shakers in the mix as well, along with some actual instruments (melodica, ukulele, bass and tuba) for the lively, totally unique version of the strangely prescient song (from the Police’s 1980 album Zenyatta Mondatta).
