Although Sting gave the impression to be cool with Juice WRLD sampling his 1993 tune “Shape Of My Heart” for the Nick Mira-produced hit single “Lucid Dreams,” issues have apparently modified. In a sequence of since-deleted tweets, Mira blasted Sting and his staff for allegedly threatening a brand new lawsuit.

“Fuck @OfficialSting and his WHOLE staff,” he wrote on Saturday (November 17). “After taking 85% of Lucid Dreams (for interpolating Shape of My Heart, NOT EVEN sampling) he threatened to take us to courtroom for attempting to get any %. Sting ALSO flexed stealing our cash and stated it put his grandkids by way of school.”

He adopted up with, “all people put a FUCK @OfficalSting within the feedback should you actual.”

Sting Allegedly Threatens Juice WRLD With Lawsuit Over "Lucid Dreams"

Last month, Sting informed Billboard “Lucid Dreams” was a “stunning interpretation that’s trustworthy to the unique tune’s kind” and joked the tune’s royalties will “put my grandkids by way of school.”

The tune, which was included on Juice WRLD’s debut album Goodbye & Good Riddance, reached the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 100 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Now, it’s wanting extra like a lucid nightmare.
