In what was a pretty wide-ranging interview with Esquire, Shia LaBeouf fered some details about his relationship with fellow eccentric, Kanye West.
Back in 2016, during the random concert rants that led up to his hospitalization, Kanye referenced LaBeouf at his Sacramento show.
"Shia LaBeouf, Kid Cudi feels a way. Give him a call," he said.
LaBeouf says that after that show, he reached out to Kanye.
“I fucking love Kanye West," the actor/ocassional freestyler told Esquire. "He’s going through a lot. And I don’t know where he’s at or what he’s doing."
Kanye was actually spotted hanging in a remote Wyoming town, probably working on new tunes if Travis Scott and The-Dream's presence there too is any indication. Anyway, in the interview, LaBeouf also explains exactly how it came to be that Kanye took all his clothes.
After Kanye rapped, “I wish I dressed as fresh as Shia LaBeouf" in an outtake "No More Parties in L.A." the two ended up linking up to discuss art and future projects and whatnot. Kanye asked if he could take the actor's clothes for a pop-up shop, and LaBeouf was down for the cause.
“Around the same time, I took my mother to his concert,” LaBeouf said. “She is, course, obsessed with Kanye West. When I brought her backstage, he was a fucking sweetheart to her. And it just felt fair. So I’m like, ‘Go for it, my guy. Take everything you want.’ And he did. He took all my fucking clothes."
If that isn't bizarre enough for you, 'Ye was actually spotted rocking LaBeouf's hat back in May. Check out LaBeouf's full interview here.
