After creating serious buzz from her 2018 debut album, Nasty, Rico Nasty is back with her latest mixtape, Anger Management, a collaboration project with frequent collaborator Kenny Beats. The nine-track project includes features from Baauer, Splurge, and fellow upcoming act, EarthGang.

Anger Management’s third track, “Hatin’,” samples Jay-Z’s classic 2003 hit “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” off of The Black Album. Kenny Beats not only flips the Timbaland-produced beat, but Rico pays homage to Hov’s original hook by putting her own twist on it.

Kenny Beats has been stacking up his production credits recently as well, collaborating with KEY!, ALLBLACK, and JPEGMAFIA among others. Anger Management is not the first collaboration of 2019 for Kenny and Rico, as the two put out “Sandy” in February to prep fans for this project’s release. The chemistry between this artist and producer match up is undeniable, as Kenny Beats revealed on Twitter the two were able to lock in and finish the entire new project in just five days.

The DMV rapper has been working at a fierce speed. Just last week (April 20), Rico also dropped a new song “Hit That” along with a visual to celebrate the unofficial holiday. She says she created the video "so my fans can watch cool shit while they get high.”
