There are many different metrics of success: being in the running for best new artist at the Grammys, riding the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for consecutive weeks and your breakthrough album hitting the top 5 on the Billboard 200 charts. But for Lizzo the ultimate "made it" moment came on Tuesday (Sept. 10) when an iconic children's TV star gave her props.

"Me just took a DNA test turns out me 100% cookies," tweeted Sesame Street's Cookie Monster in his sweet-focused lyrical remix of Lizzo's signature hit "Truth Hurts." Lizzo, of course, lost her mind at the unexpected honor, doubling down by retweeing Cookie's homage and adding her own fresh-baked take on the song.

"Even when me crumble crazy me got shortbread problems, that’s the monster in me, nom nom,” she wrote alongside a crying emoji. “Then me eat em that’s the cookie in me.”

"Truth Hurts," originally released in Sept. 2017, landed Lizzo her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making her just the sixth female rapper to top the song tally alongside such luminaries as Cardi B, Lauryn Hill, Iggy Azalea, Lil' Kim and Shawnna.
