Pop Smoke was reportedly shot and killed in a home invasion in the Hollywood Hills early Wednesday morning (Feb. 19). Many in the hip-hop community, including Nicki Minaj, have paid tribute to the late Brooklyn rapper, who undoubtedly had a bright future ahead of him.

Minaj memorialized Smoke with a heartfelt post to her Instagram putting life in perspective. "The Bible tells us that jealousy is as cruel as the grave," she wrote of her fellow New York native. "Unbelievable. Rest In Peace, Pop."

Nicki co-signed Pop by hopping on the gritty "Welcome to the Party" remix back in August. Their debut collab peaked at No. 9 on the Rap Digital Songs Sales chart later that month.
