Meek Mill is coming to the defense of B. Simone.

The Dreamchasers rapper took to Twitter on Sunday (June 14) to support the embattled social media comedian and Wild N’ Out cast member after she was outed for allegedly plagiarizing her self-help book, Baby Girl Manifest The Life You Want.

“B Simone canceled because she finnesed a book and made her way from the bottom lol what major companies y’all cancel for ripping our culture off?” Meek wrote. “finding ways to display hate towards our own when they start doing good is showing amongst us a lot!”

Multiple people outed the comedian on Saturday (June 13) for allegedly copying and pasting worksheets from various Pinterest accounts into her book without giving the original creators credit. The book has since been removed from B. Simone’s webstore.

Some fans tried to point out to Meek that B. Simone’s book contains work from Black creators, but Meek offered a contending point about authenticity in Hip Hop and how many artists do not live out their lyrics.

“Niggas rap about selling drugs and a life they didn’t live is that not finessing their own tho? A Louie shirt a stack … a Chanel 5500$ I don’t even think they donate to blacks they number one in our culture … Im just getting confused what we standing for collectively.”

The popular comedienne has come under fire not just for the alleged plagiarism contained in her book but also discussing how she would not date anyone who worked a 9-to-5 job or had a 9-to-5 mentality.

During an interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106, she said that she was looking for an older man that didn’t have a 9-to-5 job. “I mean, he could be a hustling entrepreneur,” she explained. She added that there was nothing wrong with a job that required someone to clock in and out at a certain time but that entrepreneurs should date other entrepreneurs because they have similar lifestyles.

Once the backlash came, Simone took to Twitter to defend herself and her statements about looking for someone who shared her lifestyle and mindset.

“Ain’t nothing wrong with a nigga with a 9-to-5. I get it, they work hard,” Simone said. “… You work, you got money. I get that. I need an entrepreneur. I need someone who understands my mindset. It has nothing to do with money, everything to do with lifestyle.”

Regardless of her and Meek’s statement – Twitter decided to clown them both. See the reactions to Meek’s comments below.
