Lil Nas X is determined to keep the remixes coming.

Over the weekend, the "Old Town Road" rapper tweeted that "deep down inside i wanna release another old town road remix." The confession came a day after the country-rap smash hit was remixed again with new features from singer/yodeler Mason Ramsey and Young Thug, alongside Lil Nas and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Lil Nas X's tweet prompted reactions from legendary pop diva Mariah Carey and rock band Smash Mouth. Carey playfully suggested that the rapper's viral hit should be mashed up with "One Sweet Day," her 1995 mega-hit with Boyz II Me; and Smash Mouth replied simply with "let's do it."

"Ok mariah carey lets get this remix in," Lil Nas tweeted.

Last week, "Old Town Road" celebrated its 14th week atop the Billboard Hot 100, with 13 of those weeks also including featured remix guest Cyrus. Only two songs have outlasted 14 weeks atop the Hot 100: the Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" (1995-96), and Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's Justin Bieber-featuring "Despacito" (2017).

Ramsey jokingly wrote on Twitter that the world will likely be hearing many "Old Town Road" remixes for years to come.

"The year is 2043. I’m fully grown up with my own ranch and kids and Lil Nas x is still releasing old town remixes," the 12-year-old wrote.
