Back in 2001, Kelis' Wanderland album never received an official release in the United States following her departure from Virgin Records. The project finally found its way onto streaming services 18 years later with little fanfare on Wednesday (June 5).
The 16-track album is entirely produced by The Neptunes' Pharrell and Chad Hugo. Wanderland is peppered with assists from both members of the Clipse on separate records, as well as contributions from Roscoe and John Ostby.
"I left Virgin right when it was released in Europe, so when it was supposed to release in the States, it just kinda fell by the wayside," Kelis explained to MP3.com back in 2006. "I think too, a lot of people really didn't understand the music, and you know, it just got…they just didn't get it."
Kelis' released her most recent album in 2014, titled Food.
