Cozz's proper debut fering has arrived. After dropping f “Zendaya” featuring his Dreamville Records head honcho J. Cole earlier this week, Cozz finally unveiled his long-awaited debut album Effected on Tuesday (Feb. 13) and as with each Dreamville album release, the rapper dropped an accompanying documentary in support his latest album.

In the mini-documentary titled Cozz: Effected, Cozz takes viewers back to his stomping grounds in Los Angeles to show how much his life and neighborhood has changed over the years.

Cozz reminisced about struggling to maintain a decent GPA in college and how uninspired he was in school, which led him to music. “I was working hard but it felt forced. I had to realize ain't no easy routes so whatever I wanted to do or had to do, I had to work hard at it,” he said in the video. “The only thing I wanted to work hard at was music.”

Cozz signed to Dreamville Records in 2014 and released Cozz & Effect in 2014, and Nothing Personal in 2016. The Los Angeles rapper's new album Effected features Cole as well as Kendrick Lamar, Curren$y, and Garren.
