GroovyTracks – This week in Hip Hop, Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino issued an apology to Meek Mill amid accusations of discrimination. Also, Lil Durk turned himself in to Georgia authorities and lastly, 50 Cent demanded Power actor Rotimi pay up his debt following the success of his Walk With Me EP.

Cosmopolitan Publicly Apologizes To Meek Mill

Meek Mill put the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino on blast after the luxury Las Vegas establishment reportedly kicked out the veteran rapper for an alleged altercation with their security.

Meek and his lawyer maintained that no such altercation happened and encouraged the hotel to produce video documentation to back up their claims. The hotel was unable to and released an apology on Friday (May 31).

“We apologize to Meek Mill for how we handled the situation on Saturday, May 25, as we did not act in a respectful manner and were wrong,” the statement read. “Meek Mill has not had any prior incident on our property.”

Fellow recording artists Swae Lee and Yo Gotti say they’ve faced the same type of discrimination at The Cosmo in the past as well.

50 Cent Demands Rotimi Pay His $300K Debt

50 Cent is still relentlessly making his rounds to collect the debts owed to him. His latest debtor seems to be actor/singer Rotimi, who stars as Dre Coleman on the STARZ hit show Power.

50 claimed Rotimi owes him $300,000 and since the singer’s new EP Walk With Me hit No. 1 on iTunes, Mr. Jackson obviously wants his coins. Snoop Dogg even stepped up and offered to satisfy the amount owed.

So far, Rotimi has paid $100,000 of his debt.
