A gun scare at the Roots Picnic resulted in the hospitalization of several festivalgoers on Saturday evening, according to CBS Philly. Five people were reportedly injured during a stampede as a result of the false gun threat that took place around 6:30 p.m. ET in the midst of 21 Savage's set.

"I was sitting on the blanket and you just heard screams and then probably like 100 people, I was sitting down, and they just started running," a witness relayed to ABC 6. “We were just all told to run straight and to the side and get out as quick as possible."

Police say that one of the injured individuals suffered a broken leg, as four out of the five were also underage. Law enforcement didn't discover any weapons upon their arrival on the scene. Hundreds had already cleared out from Fairmount Park in fear of the possible shooting.

Live Nation told ABC 6 that a "medical issue" actually sparked the chaos. "I was sitting on the blanket and you just heard screams and then probably like 100 people, I was sitting down, and they just started running," another concertgoer explained to ABC 6. The concert calmly resumed within the hour. Other performers on the bill included H.E.R., Lil Baby and The Roots.

No arrests were made following the incident.
