Back in February, Geto Boys founding member Bushwick Bill was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, he revealed in a conversation with TMZ on Wednesday (May 1).

The Houston native is undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments, but the original diagnosis came as a complete surprise because he was continually having a mass on his pancreas tested, which doctors had said to be benign.

"Finally, by Feb. 8, they said it was stage 4 pancreatic cancer," he shared. "It was just crazy to find out that pancreatic cancer is undetected until it's in the fourth or fifth stage." The 52-year-old hadn't told fellow Geto Boys Scarface and Willie D just yet, he added. "I've only told close family members. I figured keeping it to myself isn't really helping anyone."

Bill also said he's currently working on three albums at the moment, which he hopes will serve as residual income for his children and family. "I noticed when most celebrities pass, they really don't have nothing set up for their children," he said. "If I have new music, a book, and a documentary for them, I will have residual income from those things."

Former Geto Boys member DJ Ready Red passed away in 2018 due to a heart attack.
