Following G-Eazy‘s arrest in Stockholm this week, the rapper has pled guilty to assaulting an officer, violent resistance and illegal drug possession.
As previously reported, G-Eazy was arrested on Wednesday (May 2) in Stockholm after his show in the Swedish capital. During the incident, the rapper got into a dust-up with a nightclub’s security staff, with police later reportedly finding him in possession of 1.5 grams cocaine.
According to Aftonbladet, G-Eazy pled guilty to all charges against him, including illegal drug possession, assault of an officer and violent resistance. However, he is set to leave Sweden today and will not face jail time, according to the newspaper.
According to a new report from TMZ, the altercation between G-Eazy and security was the result of a fan asking to get a selfie with the rapper. When G-Eazy refused, the fan reportedly insisted and started taking photos with the rapper without his permission. At this point, G-Eazy’s team got involved, and in the resulting chaos, the rapper punched one of the club’s security guards, apparently by mistake.
G-Eazy’s next concert is scheduled for May 6 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As previously reported, G-Eazy is set to embark on “The Endless Summer Tour” in July. The trek hits Toronto on August 22. You can see all the dates here.
