The late rapper transforms into a dove & flies away to close out his emotive verse.
The Free Nationals honored the legacy of the late Mac Miller by featuring his first posthumous verse on the band's June single "Time," with additional vocals from R&B singer Kali Uchis. On Thursday (Aug. 1), the group delivered an animated visual for "Time," which was brought to life by the Sydney-based design studio BABEKUHL.
The clip takes viewers on an animated journey to space, boasting trippy colorful graphics of the artists that continue to evolve throughout the dreamy visual. Mac pops in just short of the two-minute mark as a doodle, but transforms into a dove and fittingly flies away to close out his emotive verse.
With the one-year anniversary of Mac Miller's death fast-approaching, fans are set to gather once again on Sept. 7 at Blue Slide Park in Pittsburgh for a celebration of his life. Hundreds are expected to attend the event that will have Mac's music and several video compilations playing during the day.
