She discussed her sophomore album “I AM,” smash hit single, “Won’t He Do It,” and lead single, “Speak To Me” that just dropped, her time on NBC’s “The Voice,” mentors on the show and in the industry, her journey from “The Voice,” to where she is today and future aspirations, family, and so much more.
Family, particularly Koryn’s mother is paramount to her success. She credits her mother for always fully supporting her endeavors, and God for her musical gifts and talents.
“Uncle” Kirk Franklin, Erica and Tina Campbell and H.E.R. are a few of the extremely talented artists that Koryn would love to collaborate with, and gives big kudos for embracing her on this journey. She is most grateful and humbled to gospel icon Donnie McClurkin for giving his blessings on the album’s second single “ Speak To Me” which features samples from his extremely popular “Speak To My Heart.” Koryn co-wrote ten songs on the album and reunited with her Unstoppable collaborators Austin, Troy Taylor and Makeba Riddick and Grammy-winning producer Darhyl “DJ” Camper.
In addition to being a powerful and motivating singer, Koryn aspires to do more acting and has made guest appearances on WE tv’s “Mary Mary’” Bounce’s “Saints & Sinners,” and OWN’s “Greenleaf.” She has a desire to compile a cookbook, and to be a judge on The Food Network’s show “Chopped.”
