Alexander DeLeon — otherwise known as Bohnes — has spent the last few years traveling around the globe taking in some of the world's most famous sights. And now, it's all encapsulated in his latest music video.
The singer-songwriter unveils his envy-enducing vid for "So Pissed," premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Oct. 1). The four-minute visual sees Bohnes galavanting around the Eiffel Tower in Paris, sipping wine in front of the Duomo Cathedral in Florence, Italy, riding a camel in front of Egyptian pyramids, cruising on a speedboat in Sydney, Australia — and so much more.
“I was traveling and thinking, 'I should be documenting this. If not for me, for my future kids,'" Bohnes tells Billboard over email. "So in a strange way, life was propelling me to make this music video…and ironically, this music video was propelling [me] to live life." He adds that making the "So Pissed" video changed him, as Bohnes experienced his lowest and highest points ("geographically and mentally," he quips) while simultaneously meeting some of his now best friends along the way.
The adventurous video matches the inspired message of "So Pissed," as the bitterly titled track is actually about aspiring to make the most of life — and being "so pissed" if those efforts fail. "I wanna be more than bones/ I wanna be someone's goals/ Leave somethin' behind, be one of a kind, I don't wanna die alone," Bohnes sings on the pre-chorus.
One thing Bohnes is "so pissed" about is how poorly the Earth is being treated. “Most of all, I just want to show people how beautiful this world is," he says of the video's concept. "We are destroying it. We aren’t taking care of it. So many people take it for granted. If people could travel more — see firsthand the beauty [and] meet the people that are affected by the damages, to see both the good and the bad — I think they would live and feel differently. I just want to open a few eyes on how much there is to see and to create a spark in those eyes. Ignite the passion to see and live more.”
