Meek Mill’s wish has been granted by Akademiks. After the Atlantic Records MC told Akademiks to stop posting him on the Instagram personality’s popular account, the co-host of Complex’s Everyday Struggle announced he would oblige.

“So.. y’all remember when meek told me to stop posting him and I did.. then he went on philly radio complaining that I ain’t posting his album… well today he asked that I stopped posting him,” Akademiks wrote. “And I’ll gladly oblige … I don’t need no artist who don’t wanna be on platform. there will no more meek mill posts after this on my platform. Too many other lit rappers for me to cover.”

Akademiks has 3.1 million Instagram followers. Artists frequently posted on his account include YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Blueface, Bhad Bhabie and YK Osiris.

Meek has been embroiled in a beef with Tekashi 6ix9ine, who’s been one of Akademiks’ favorite subjects over the past few years. Ak and 6ix9ine even recorded a song together, releasing “LANES” in 2019.

On Tuesday (June 23), Akademiks linked up with 6ix9ine for a sitdown interview. In his post’s caption, he claimed Billboard turned down the opportunity to speak with the controversial rapper.

“Since billboard passed on it,” Ak wrote. “We decided to interview the artist with the #1 song in the country. Btw we are down to do this with any artist. Just lmk we’ll give y’all the #1 song or album interview.”

6ix9ine’s Nicki Minaj-assisted single “TROLLZ” debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100. The polarizing artist has also spent weeks antagonizing Meek, who previously vowed to crush 6ix9ine for the culture.

So far, the feud has played out entirely on social media.
