[With the long-awaited “Empire” season two finale just a couple days away, show star Bre-Z talks to SOHH about her on-set relationships and being gay in real life.]

A lot of the musicians on-set I knew just in passing. I worked closely with Ne-Yo and one of his producers.

Most of the musicians who come in, we work outside of the set. So it really just depends because sometimes you might work alone.

It really just depends on where we’re at on the schedules because they’re so tight during the filming.

[Me talking about being gay?] That was just me and Jack Thriller playing around [about my alleged soon-to-be wife], I don’t want anyone to take that serious.

It’s to each’s own in my opinion. They can do what they want to do. I don’t judge.

We definitely live in a time where there’s a little more acceptance for whatever it is that you want to do.

It’s just up to the person.
