On the heels the release  PRhyme 2, Royce Da 5'9″ looks to carry that momentum into his upcoming solo effort, Book Ryan. On Friday (March 23), the 40-year-old ficially turned the page with a fresh single featuring a verse from J. Cole for “Boblo Boat.” The track serves as an ode to the steamer boats that would transport Michigan folks north the border into Canada's Boblo Island Amusement Park.

Royce opens the track reminiscing about the eventful trips throughout his childhood to what he calls the “Black amusement park,” which many have referred to as “Detroit's Coney Island” before it closed in 1993. “Wood roller coasters, crack sold on plastic scooter cards/ Uh, smoking grass at the vintage food court/ Broken glass, waiting on you on the swimming pool floor/ I came across my identity on the Boblo boat,” he raps. “That’s where I lost my virginity, no condom, though.”

J. Cole caresses the soothing tune's production from Cool & Dre and 808-Ray teasing a story about smoking for the first time, “We had no Boblo boat, but I could note those times is like a Bible quote/ BC, before cell phones, the first time I would smoke/ I was 6-years-old, but that’s for another chapter,” he smoothly rhymes bringing the song to a close.

The Detroit native previously revealed Book Ryan's cover art as well as the album's tracklist on Thursday (March 22), which is now available for pre-order. The forthcoming LP is still without a release date but we know it features 17 lyrical tracks and 21 in total if you're interested in the bonus edition.
