An investigative Twitter thread picked up steam over the weekend (Aug. 31) in an attempt to once again connect the dots between Drake's subliminal hints that he's been romantically involved with Kim Kardashian in the past. Kim had enough the noise and quickly shut down rumors an affair with the 6 God on Monday (Sept. 3).
Nick Cannon appeared as a guest for an episode Complex's Everyday Struggle last week (Aug. 30), where he described the theory Drake and his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian having sexual relations as "Isn't a far-fetched thought." The Shade Room picked up Cannon's thoughts and Kim K hopped into the comment section to swiftly diffuse the spreading tabloid fodder and let everyone know that nothing allegedly happened between her and Drizzy. "Never happened. End story," she abruptly wrote on Instagram.
The original thread from Twitter user @TMorrison24 examined the feud between Drake and Kanye West by piecing together subtle bars from Drake's verse on Travis Scott's "Sicko Mode," when he describes possible directions from his house to Ye's mansion in Calabasas. "I crept down the block/ Made a right/ Cut the lights/ Paid the price," he raps. Drake also recently followed Kim on Instagram, according to TMZ.
Scorpion's "8 out 10" seems to contain several subliminal shots directed at West and when Drizzy raps "your wifey" on the chorus, he interestingly lets it echo multiple times. The thread delves deeper in trying to connect Kiki from "In My Feelings" to Kim -- whose family nickname is Kiki -- but Genius has already reported that the Kiki Drake references is allegedly K'yanna Barber.
Kanye spoke on his hopes to repair his relationship with Drake during an interview last week with 107.5 WGCI Chicago. "We all got love for Drake," he said. "We understand he was upset about 'The Story Adidon'], and I felt it was insensitive him to stress me out in any way after TMZ while I'm in Wyoming, healing and pulling all pieces together."
