Chance the Rapper's non-prit organization SocialWorks hosts a monthly OpenMike event and attendees never know what to expect when they walk through the Chicago Library's Pritzker Auditorium. So on Monday night (April 2), guests were in for a major treat when Chance the Rapper brought out his famous friend, Big Sean, to surprise the crowd with a performance one his major hits.

Chance took to Twitter to share a video the surprise performance, that showed an eager crowd illuminating the auditorium with their cell phone lights and belting out each line Sean's “Bounce Back” with vigor. The crowd's energy didn't let up as Sean and Chance hopped around the stage.

“Thank you so much @BigSean for that historic performance and thank you Justin Holiday for your kind donation to @SocialWorks_Chi today at our 28TH SUCCESSFUL @OpenMikeChicago THIS IS WHERE I STARTED THIS IS WHERE WE ALL START POWER TO THE PEOPLE,” Chance wrote on Twitter after the event. Big Sean responded, writing, “It’s a honor man!!! U lit! Keep shining cause the world needs more light! I’ll see you at the studio tonight tho, aye!!!!!” hinting that the two may be cooking up new music together.

The SocialWorks OpenMike night is a special tradition for Chance, who got his start at local open mic events and created the event in honor his mentor “Brother Mike” Hawkins who passed away in 2014. The OpenMike program attendees have been treated to surprise guests like Kanye West, Dave Chappelle, former Chicago Bulls player Jimmy Butler and the cast BET's miniseries The New Edition Story. Last December, Chance also gifted attendees unreleased Jordan sneakers for Christmas.
