Two years ago, 6LACK made waves with his debut project Free 6LACK. With superstardom on the forefront his mind, the rising hyphenate returns today with his sophomore attempt East Atlanta Love Letter, which features several marquee names: J. Cole, Future, Offset and Khalid.

After liberating the album to his eager devotees, the multi-faceted star penned a meaningful message on Instagram. "My new album, east atlanta love letter, is out and i hope you guys enjoy it," he wrote. "This is a continuation a story i started two years ago and to even be talking about a second project is a blessing. i don’t have any expectations, i didn’t make this for any awards (but y’all are welcome to nominate a n—a), i just did what came natural with the help my amazing friends who happen to be producers."

Later, 6LACK mentioned how vital it is for him to make thoughtful music that's designed to encourage people and how his daughter sparks meaning into his life. "The only thing i think everyday i wake up is making music that encourages people to feel and grow and communicate," he wrote. "I want to thank my daughter who can’t read this, but everything i do is for or inspired by you. i want to lead by example and leave behind the story a father who not only loved you, but loved what he did, and served a purpose bigger than himself."
