Last week, R&B crooner Trey Songz turned himself in to authorities on the grounds suspicion domestic violence. The singer, born Tremain Neverson, has been accused punching and choking 33-year old Andrea Buera at a party in the Hollywood Hills following the conclusion NBA All-Star Weekend.
Arrested on March 19, the “Say Ahh” singer took to social media to reaffirm his innocence shortly after he was released on a $50,000 bond — and it seems he’s not the only one. 50 Cent took to Instagram on March 25 to fer his own opinion on the pending charges: “Everybody know he ain’t hit her this a money play, smh any thing to get the Bag, #thesehoescrazy,” he wrote alongside a picture the dancer.
According to Buera, Songz jealously attacked her at a party because she had been seen talking to one his friends. Buera and Songz had supposedly dated in the past. “I was attending an after-party when Trey began yelling at me, choking me, punching me, and ultimately he knocked me to the ground,” Buera said the alleged altercation. “While I was on the ground, he continued punching me. And he did not stop until his security guard pulled him f me.”
A petition was filed on March 6, granting Buera a temporary restraining order against the performer. Buera will try to get a permanent order protection from Songz on March 27.
